Our story

Why "Mosaic Pig"?

A runaway piglet, a neighborhood that claimed him as its own, and a mosaic mural that still greets everyone coming in. It's the whole idea behind what we do.

The name comes from Domino, a piglet who bolted from the petting zoo at the very first Violet Crown Festival in 2003, tore across the grounds, and disappeared into the Brentwood and Crestview streets before anyone could catch him. He lived loose in the neighborhood for months, turning up in yards and gardens, until a neighbor took him in and named him for the spots on his rump. He'd grown into a full feral hog by then, but the neighborhood had already claimed him as its own.

Today Domino is the festival's mascot, and he's set in tile on the Wall of Welcome, the mosaic mural that greets everyone coming into the neighborhood. Folks who walk by know his story by heart. That's the whole idea behind Mosaic Pig. The businesses that matter most are the ones woven into their community, and we help them get the visibility to match the reputation they already earned.

Even the colors come from home. Austin goes by the City of the Violet Crown, for the purple light the hills catch at dusk.

Founder · Mosaic Pig

I've spent years running marketing for bigger companies. SEO, paid media, conversion work, lead automation, the whole machine. The part I liked was never the size of the budget. It was watching the right moves turn strangers into customers.

I've done it for all kinds of local businesses too: landscapers, law firms, and car dealers, plus independent service pros like appraisers and home inspectors. Different trades, same goal. Get found by the people already looking, then turn that into booked work.

That playbook works just as well for the plumber, the roofer, and the shop owner down the street, at a size and price that make sense for a local business. So that's what I do now. Mosaic Pig is me bringing the good stuff to the people I most want to help.

Let's get you found.
